Benny's Birthday, Start of School and Fall!

Benny turned 1! We had a small little party for him but it was enough to make him (and Dean) feel like he was having a big day! He didn't walk yet, but in the last few weeks has been getting really good at walking, so just a month after his brother. He still doesn't have many words, just mama, dada and that's about it. He can definitely tell you what he wants though and makes his desires known!

The boys have had a great start to the school year. Dean and Benny love to go to daycare, and love their friends there. They go outside, climb the rock wall, sing songs and paint and draw. Deans drawing skills are....developing, but his number sense and singing keep Mark and I so proud. LOL Benny is usually happy (Except for the last week-when he's been sick and teething).

Dean is LOVING Halloween and fall coming. We've gone on the river, apple picking, looked at decorations, decorated our house, made lots of baked goods, pancakes almost every Sunday and gotten pumpkins!

Mark and I were then able to take advantage of our family and went on a 4 day getaway in Santa Fe to celebrate the wedding of Mark's high school friend Ted and Kacie. It was such an incredible trip. Fun to road trip from Denver with some of the wives, Mark with the men. Enjoying the mountains and fall foliage in New Mexico. The wedding was gorgeous at a place called Ghost Ranch. The town of Santa Fe is so authentic and has so much rich Hispanic history. It was fun to talk in Spanish everywhere I went. The best part was probably getting to be Mark's wife, and not a mom. The worst part of the trip was engorgement (my pump was not working for my boobs.... sorry TMI but seriously, breastfeeding is tough!) and I had altitude sickness. AKA felt hungover all weekend. That put a damper on our hiking plans, but overall it was still a wonderful trip. And we are SOOO thankful to our in-laws for watching the boys (especially because Benny was a naughty boy the whole time because of teething).

Summer Ends

I have missed so many months! So I'm thinking this will be a recap in mainly pictures. So busy! (Like always)

Summer ended with a trip to the cabin with the Aronsons. Like always, it was loud, crazy, relaxing, fun and yes, there were dance parties, boat rides, volleyball, shows and the beach!

Then of course our boys kept growing! Come August we didn't do a lot of travel or have a lot of visitors. We just enjoyed summer! We had some dates ,Judah play dates, visits to the market, enjoying our last days with Grame and Jimpa, boys club baby shower, gymnastics and lots of cousin time.

Mark and I had a Kowalskis and Movie Date
Bread, sushi, OLIVES

Then Mark had a boys weekend and I got trained in OULAone (Dance/yoga fusion!) and when he got back I went on a girls weekend to Kansas City and we had way too much fun! Lots of girl talk, walking, HEAT, dancing, good food (BBQ of course) and staying up way too late!
