The boys have had a great start to the school year. Dean and Benny love to go to daycare, and love their friends there. They go outside, climb the rock wall, sing songs and paint and draw. Deans drawing skills are....developing, but his number sense and singing keep Mark and I so proud. LOL Benny is usually happy (Except for the last week-when he's been sick and teething).
Dean is LOVING Halloween and fall coming. We've gone on the river, apple picking, looked at decorations, decorated our house, made lots of baked goods, pancakes almost every Sunday and gotten pumpkins!
Mark and I were then able to take advantage of our family and went on a 4 day getaway in Santa Fe to celebrate the wedding of Mark's high school friend Ted and Kacie. It was such an incredible trip. Fun to road trip from Denver with some of the wives, Mark with the men. Enjoying the mountains and fall foliage in New Mexico. The wedding was gorgeous at a place called Ghost Ranch. The town of Santa Fe is so authentic and has so much rich Hispanic history. It was fun to talk in Spanish everywhere I went. The best part was probably getting to be Mark's wife, and not a mom. The worst part of the trip was engorgement (my pump was not working for my boobs.... sorry TMI but seriously, breastfeeding is tough!) and I had altitude sickness. AKA felt hungover all weekend. That put a damper on our hiking plans, but overall it was still a wonderful trip. And we are SOOO thankful to our in-laws for watching the boys (especially because Benny was a naughty boy the whole time because of teething).
