I may be a child, but I LOVE my birthday month. It was bittersweet this year without Paul, BUT I still felt so loved and spoiled. Additionally, Easter, one of my favorite holidays came just after my birthday. We did all the usuals, egg hunt (in the snow), dying eggs, baskets and of course flowers!
This month we also had a scare with Cici. She has been getting older, but now has an abscessed tooth. What this presented as was a really inflamed face. We took her in and they gave her antibiotics but said without further treatment it will keep coming back. Unfortunately for her, her Kidney levels aren't great, so surgery could be risky. That being said we are still weighing options but for now she is comfortable and happy thanks to antibiotics!
This month a big Lego Exhibit also made its way to Eagan. I was definitely underwhelmed, most things required you to buy them, and it was SOO crowded, but the boys still appreciated everything they saw. ESPECIALLY Gordie. Also since, all he can talk about are his "North Stars" (Star Wars) and he even convinced us to buy a $40 set just to get Darth Vader.
April also brought our first away hockey tournament! We had such a good time as a family. First off the boys WON! Dean got a Gold medal and they were so proud. Also, we had a great time as a family, fun water park, fun team time, and everyone slept!
Other than that, April has been a breath of fresh air. The weather has finally started to warm up, Spring sports are in full swing, the boys love school, and for the most part our kids are a joy :) Gordie's new thing is deciding he doesn't like bed. He's taken to saying "Nightime is not good for me" and "My bed hurts me". LOL at least he's cute!
