Last post ended with snow, today I walked outside and thought "it smells like fall!" But it is still beautiful and warm out!
April ended with a fun trip to Kansas City! My friend from TFA Ashley was getting married so we had a bachelorette party in Herman MO. I will admit, I was hesitant to get excited to go to the middle of nowhere MO, but it was so much fun! It was a cute little town, there were vineyards everywhere, a trolley that took you from place to place and fun company!
May brought birthday parties, Mother's day Traditions (brunch a week early at Pancake House), cousins, "pastabowls" (popsicles), gymnastics, lake time, parks and new babies (Lincoln, Julie's newest little boy!).

June brought new plants in our yard because of trees chopped down next door :( Bought some Lilacs for the deck, a couple maples and an oak. That coupled with sweet boquets from students brought an end to the school year. It was a bittersweet end. I loved my class this year, and was sad to see them go. That is not every year!
Then of course it was "Big boy's" 4th birthday! FORTH!!!! I have a real child. On his actual birthday he went to one of his favorite things, Eagan's farmer's market, Market Fest. He loves the live music, the splash pad, the playground and the "treats". It was a birthday celebrated in stages. He then go to go to Eagan's "Truck Rally" and we ran into his best friend Nick from school. Lastly, he got a fun party with all of his friends from school, our friends and their kids, his grandparents and daycare mommy. Of course, it was dinosaur themed, AGAIN. That, coupled with a party for the end of the year daycare at Lake Marion, with a boat and friends provided for a few weeks of lots of cake and celebrating!
Also in early June we got to go to a wedding, and a couples trip, away, ALONE! Mark and I returned to KC, stayed at hotel inbetween Westport and the Plaza (Mark and my favorite neighborhoods in KC). We walked around (in the 109 heat index day), enjoyed my favorite park Loose (where we had our engagement pics) at KC Joe's BBQ, got drinks in Westport, and of course celebrated Ashley and Jim's wedding! It was beautiful! The reception was at the Palace theatre, great food, beautiful decorations and walking distance from everything! What a special trip!
The rest of June was busy and fun! Mark and I were working off and on. We both worked a full week of camp for students. I taught EL kids and Mark ran the Gifted and Talented camp. Aside from that Mark worked a few training days and the boys and I had some fun adventures. Trips to the dentist and dr., strawberry picking, parks along the river, yard pool parties, play dates, new parks, Market fest and lots and lots of cars!
Mark was home some too though. We got to go to Benny's first baseball game! And we made it through the whole thing! We had beautiful plans to celebrate our 6th anniversary together, but Hand, foot and mouth changed that. So, 6 years looks like a family date to a brewery a couple minutes from home :)
