Summer 2020

Blogging is hard y'all. I'm going to use mainly picture representations of what the last 4 1/2 months have been. Year of Covid right!??!

First where are we now?
It's CHRISTMASTIME. My favorite time of year. And luckily most of our traditions hold out just fine in a time of Covid! We bake cookies, we look at Christmas lights, we have our village, our house decorations, make gingerbread, get a Home Depot tree, and listen to WAY too much Sia Christmas. What are we missing? YMCA Christmas, Daycare Christmas parties. Indoor gatherings. But... a vaccine is here. Things about to change right?

So how did we get here:

Summer:

June: Dean finished school and had a socially distanced Birthday Party with family.

We had some socially distanced park dates, went strawberry picking, and went to the beach and enjoyed the cabin.

July:

We spent the 4th at the cabin with a little bit of family and fireworks.

The rest of July (before the annual Aronson extravaganza... which was able to happen! We had socially distanced playdates, birthday parties, and Gordie continued to grow.

Then the Johnston's flew in and Aronson summer continued. It was wild, it was crazy, and it was a little stressful with Covid. There was anxiety that we would spread it to one another, anxiety at the cabin where there were SOOOO many people at the beach (unheard of amounts). But we stayed healthy and enjoyed each other's company. Mark and I even had our first evening away from the kids since quarentine started! Patio and beach time.

August:

Gordie starts eating food, keeps feeling mediocre about milk and the bottle. Cabin trip with friends that are family. Garden bounty, parks, a runover cell phone, soccer practices and a superhero birthday party.
