Covid Continues Summer 2021

It's funny, the busier our lives get, the less i blog, BUT I'M DOING IT! haha And that's all that matters.

Last I left you was Spring 2021. And now it's Dec 2021. I guess to start from April

April 2021:

Of course my Birthday: FULLLY VACCINATED, outdoor OULA celebration, and love from my family.

April also brought Easter, fun in the park with friends, Bonfires, and cute babies.

May 2021:

My first Niece got married! It was a beautiful wedding in Northern Minnesota, the kids had a blast, and it was so sweet to see young love. We also survived staying in a hotel as a family :) haha

May also brought mother's day, boys first trip to a grocery store since the pandemic started, quick trip to the cabin, some unexpected pool time, small kitchen updates,  and new season of sports!

June 2021:

The start of June is always marked by Dean's birthday, and boy was this year's a hot one! It was so sweet to see him have the party in the same park he's had most birthdays with so many sweet little boys! Too bad it ended with Benny running into a tree and getting a bloody nose!

Gymnastics also started, lots of pool time, peonies, and the boys first YMCA summer camp experience! (mom loved the time alone with Gordie!). My parents came back to MN so we had some fun times outside with them, some time on friend's boats, and my niece graduated! Did i mention I was Benny's soccer coach? :)

Mom also got away for the first time since Covid to an amazing set of wineries in... IOWA! We stayed in Des Moines, and as is evidenced did a LOT of laughing :)

July 2021:

Another trip up to the cabin with a stop at Jay Cooke state park along the way. Beautiful wild flowers, yoga on the rocks and delicious fresh picked strawberries.

We also had Zoo visits and Market fest with friends, more camps for the boys, date day for mom and dad (yes we paid for a sitter for one day a week, YES It was worth it!) new amazing park in Eagan, lots more sports with Dean (baseball and Hockey), and then family came into town!

We had so much fun with my brother and his family, my aunt and uncle and cousins, my grandfather and my parents! We went to beaches, zoos, fireworks, and LOTS OF garage time (thanks Covid). Overall it was magical seeing all the kids play together (albeit a little stressful for mommy ;0)

Shortly after the Aronsons were here, so more beaches, trampoline time, Mall of America and the cabin! NO shortage of fun for this family: fireworks, Little Nicki's, date night for mom and dad, the beach, and lots of four-wheeling.

Overall this summer was definitely better than the summer before. Gordie was easier to take care of. The pandemic seemed "almost over", we stayed relatively healthy AND I survived a summer by myself with Mark at work (Congrats on the promotion!) Life is busy, and crazy, but we are immensely lucky.
